I haven't worked on a Ventosa-style image for some time now, but thought the information booth in New York's Grand Central Station provided an opportunity as we awaited a train.
Being 7am on a Sunday morning the station was almost empty (it's crowded otherwise) so this was something I couldn't pass up.
As I didn't have my DSLR with me this was constructed from a series of images taken on my iPhone.
Just presenting as something for discussion, feedback (good OR constructive criticism) and engagement are always appreciated.
I love this, Alan. A worthy piece of art in all ways. The "golds" contrasted with the blues are gorgeous. I really like the way the background (and foreground subject) turned out. I guess it sort of reflects the spinning dizziness of NY's Grand Central Station at its busiest! Nice shot!
Thanks Jenny, I really appreciate your feedback.
The place was actually quiet compared to the norm, so the opportunity limited.
The addition of human elements was intentional to provide a bit more depth to the overall story.
I will be down there in a couple of weeks and may try similar using my DSLR just to see the difference.
That would be an interesting comparison. Look forward to seeing it.
