Thorn in Yellow

In line with the theme of minimalism....

I find this one of the more difficult genre to master. I was aiming for an abstract approach with this image and only afterwards appreciated it's minimalistic appearance as well...

Thanks for posting Mike. With the saturated colors this does indeed fall into that area between abstract and minimalism (in my view).

I just saw Juian's response and had not considered the sexual angle until he pointed it out...........

Hi Mike! Though you say you find this genre difficult to master, you've nailed it - both genres, in fact - in this image. Beautiful. To my eye, the balance in this composition is perfect - you have the thorn poking into that chartreuse void just the right amount. Love it!

Looking at your reinstated portfolio as well as this, you have an eye for composition, and more besides.
