Minimalist ~ I have actually been thinking of this shot for quite some time. I am not sure if I like it or not.
Abstract ~ Easiest shot I've taken in a long time as it required the least amount of thought and editing. This phone capture was a complete surprise as it was an accidental photo. Editing only required rotating the photo 90°
Experimental ~ 27 shot consisting of two 360° panoramas at 15mm. Just a bit curious how it would look. NOTE: The title is "What did you put in my Brownie?"
Nice work, Dean. I have this assignment in the back of my mind every single day without a chance to act on it ... you've done a great job with each category. The first one definitely works. Did you have any issues with the lines not being straight - i.e. did you have to do adjustments? The second is very pretty. Turned my head 90 degrees each direction, but definitely like the orientation you ended up with here. I LOVE your "What did you put in my Brownie?" photo! The colors and crispness is amazing. It adds perfectly to the feeling of another world. Great idea to take it at evening when the lights are all shining.
Thank you Jennifer.
I used a piece of 12" tile to tap the tiles up, down, left, and right for alignment of the tile pieces. I actually used my outdoor photo studio for the shot.
I love the way you take these challenges so seriously Dean.
The 2nd especially appeals as it makes me question what I'm viewing.
I like the 1st also due its simplicity, but the crop doesn't feel the best to suit my own (odd?) taste. Purely personal, but I've played around and offer something that fits me better.
I really appreciate the experimental work you have put into #3. It's a little too much for me, but aptly matches your title.
Original uncropped.
To my eye your crop as presented is spot-on, Dean! I like the tiny irregularity you've inserted in the form of the dot and line, whatever they are! I particularly like this first image of the three. And yes, as Jenny says, you always pull all stops out for these challenges! Good on you.
Quite simple composition really.
It is the back of all tiles except "Blank | 1", then Dehaze the photo. Then another to bring back the black.
