ANOTHER update (hopefully LAST!)
As the video is so long, I have included a link on my website as well as LINKS to KEY AREAS of interest.
This should help you skip to areas of interest, or provide shortcuts should you wish to revisit.
Let me know if you visit and spot obvious errors........

UPDATE 25 Oct 2024
The presentation to Westbridge Camera Club was completed as planned. Although I hate being in front of the camera, I did manage to muddle my way through.
Westbridge kindly made the recording available, which I have now uploaded to YouTube.
As the presentation is long (2-1/2 hours, covering everything from basics to contemporary techniques) I have added timestamps in the description to help navigate to areas of interest.
Here's the link should anyone have interest in seeing my personal views on the subject;

I will likely be including this on my website at some point, so keep that in mind if you wish to reference later.
I'm definitely no YouTube star, but I think you may get something out of the information I present.

--------------------------------------------------
I am excited to have been asked to present my views on ICM to the members of the Westbridge Camera Club ahead of their December competition on this topic.
Presenting to an audience of mixed experience I will be discussing the foundations of Intentional Camera Movement, progressing to an overview of contemporary artists & styles that may be used as inspiration.
The presentation is scheduled for Wednesday October 23, 2024 at 7:00pm (EDT), and Westbridge has been kind enough to open this up to GUESTS.
If you are new to ICM, or wish to learn more about how to move to the next level you may get some benefit out of this.
Full details including ZOOM link are on my website;

I'm a bit nervous about this one as I've never presented before, but it should be fun....
I would mark it on my Calendar but I am assuming 7:00 pm translates to 4:00 pm Pacific time.
Will it be recorded and put on YouTube, if not on your home page? (as Jenny asked under comments).
Ah, that's for reminding me of that omission - it is indeed 7pm Eastern time. I have updated the post accordingly.
There are plans to record the presentation - I'll share a link at the appropriate time.
BTW - wouldn't 7pm EDT be 2pm Pacific?
Um...don't slather me with scientific technical mumbo-jumbo facts. Because no matter how many times it takes, I get the facts right the first time.
Great! You will do fantastically. Can't wait to see it.
Great presentation, Mr. Brown. I am looking forward to keeping it as a resource/reference guide.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Did you attend Dean? My mind is so jumbled after presenting (dehydrated?) so I hope it came across OK.
Yes. I was there. I did have to leave just after 8:20 as locally here it was dinner time. That's why I am looking forward to rewatching.
You have a great explanation of the differences between an up motion during exposure and downwards movement. Now I will always be looking for that in ICM images.
I didn't hear your accent at all. 😁
Thank you Mr. Brown.
Thanks Dean - try telling my wife I don't have an accent!!!
Although I do keep responding that I am not the one with the accent (being English) - everyone else does :-)

EDIT:
In 180° Hindsight I removed my comment as not to come across as a jerk. Humor, or humour if you prefer, can be that way sometimes.
Not sure what you mean by that Dean. As the majority are from the UK are you suggesting they are pronouncing incorrectly?
I can't say I've noticed that TBH
No problem, Dean. I knew you were joking, just wanted to ensure I was laughing (or laffing if you prefer) at the correct thing :-)
Just got the Youtube recording of it. If anyone is interested in watching it ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yu7aNS1d_eY&t=4s
Good job, Alan! I'm working my way through it slowly during break times. THANK YOU!
Thanks Jenny - I'm just seeing this after posting an update!
The YT video now includes timestamps that may help you pick & choose areas of interest.
