Nice abstract photo, Dean! So, the DVD is causing the background rainbow, and the kosher salt are the little fragments, but what is that other thing? Is it transparent refracting light through it self creating a rainbow OR is it transparent and show the DVD's rainbow through itself OR is it reflecting a rainbow? No idea!
Slug eggs are almost completely transparent; hence the title, Abstract of the Absurd.
Hmmm...... interesting concept Dean. I can't say I would have recognized the slug egg, but then again I don't think I have been that close to one (or even wanted to be....).
Did you choose the slug egg just to capture the rainbow within? That's going WAY above and beyond!
I found the Slug nest in the garden and thought, hum.
Thinking the egg 'might' capture the sun diffraction I though it was worth a try.
Hand held...now, I'm wondering about focus stacking next time.
