6 - "Portrait of a Landscape Photographer" using the Drostre Effect. The composition was actually a challenge, but I finally found an angle that I liked the shadows. I was also hampered by wind gust the would topple the easel.
7 - "Perfect Angle" we have all had issues trying to get the best angle possible. I figure if you have at least one foot on the ground, anything is possible. For this shot I was laying on a chair. I remover the chair and took another shot, then masked out the chair in PS.
8 - "Welcome to my World" You have probably seen my Little Planets, same idea, but just into one of the six frames.
9 - "Dream" We all have probably fell asleep reading , so this is my in-camera double exposure. Memory of Dreams book, tea cup and Kodak camera were intentional.
10 - Adamski Effect. I like the color of the trees against the blue sky so I thought I'd try it. I first tried the vertical path movement, but I discovered I like the horizontal better.
Since I had six photos in Part, 1 I think I should have six in Part 2 as well.
BONUS - Torn Paper
Remember, Decembers Challenge may be a Selfie.
Another great set Dean.
#6 looks like a lot of work, but you have done a great job on this.
#7 - Likewise
#8 Your 'little planet' is interesting, and typical of what we have seen from you before.
#9 - love the creativity and story you have built around this.
#10 - I think the Adamski effect in general is hard to pull off and rarely works for me. The stark contrast between sharp and blurred just feels too jarring. That said, I feel you have done an admiral job on this.
I personally prefer images where the blur/sharp contrast is more graded (like in much of the work of Chris Friel and others).
I love the bonus shot - perhaps you can share your creation of this.
BTW - you are correct that Selfies may be the December challenge - you may want to keep dome to one side
I finished Decembers Challenge and it will be something a bit more than these pedestrian efforts.
Really great ideas and stories, Dean! I enjoyed each photo and explanation very much! Thank you for this enjoyable post!
