The difference a camera makes

I like shooting with a Canon 5D III but, obviously, the form factor makes it difficult to use for street photography. Last week I got a Canon GX7 (really, just for blogging) but I took it to London yesterday and I was struck by the different type of photos I was taking simply because it was easier to be less anonymous.

This is a great shot re light and shadow. Anonymity is an important factor. In shooting street, I tend to want to be more inconspicuous unless I talk to someone first and establish a rapport. But I only use an iPhone.

Recently, I taught an Off Camera Flash class. Paige was my model for the class. We were outdoors but it started to rain. Luckily, a nearby restaurant let us conduct the class in their dining room.
