This photo was capture using my front door at it's widest aperture (pause for laughter). It faces the east, and the sun was setting in the west which was the opposite side of the house. This allowed the light entering the room to be extremely soft. This was shot with a the nifty fifty at f/2.8. I set the shutter speed and ISO for proper exposure on her face, and snapped away. Very easy light to work with, but my model (my fiance) wasn't to thrilled. She had just gotten done doing the dishes, and her hair "was a mess."
