Hi everyone,
I was recently hired to shoot promotional material for a local low-budget film.
I will be shooting about 40 different cast members in my studio for one sheets and the DVD cover.
What I need to find is a contract that clearly states our agreement of payment per shoot, of which there will be up to 40. I've found a few sample contracts online but those are for one subject to be shot and I'm trying to avoid sending 40 separate copies with minor adjustments.
any help is very much appreciated.
thank you
Josh
Well depends on the type of agreement(s) you're having with the overall contract. Licensing involved, royalties? model releases, shared copyright or not? millions of questions could be involved here. Hired as "work for hire" agreement where they pay you for your contents and rights or freelance hired that has rights negotiated afterwards or even before to include X amount of photos right licenses or actual copyright transfers?
I mostly need a simple: I am hiring you to shoot x amount of people for x amount of dollars per person kind of document. More of a pre-invoice than a contract I guess.
I have most of the legal jargon covered with a generic contract that I had put together some time ago.
ah invoice. I'd look up microsoft word invoice template. I got one years ago but don't remember where exactly I got it but it was free. I did a google search for one and the top result for one that looks legit was - https://templates.office.com/en-us/Invoices
I ended up finding something that suited my needs, but, I appreciate your help.
thank you
