Hi all,
A few weeks ago while traveling to Poland, I went out at night to do some long exposures on the lake next to where we slept (I was with the family). Found my spot about 1 meter into the water where the vegetation didn't hide the view, set my tripod, attached the remote shutter cable and started to shoot. A few minutes later it turned out that in the pitch dark I set my tripod on a little pebble and the sound of the camera hitting the water was the only sound around. Obviously, falling into the lake didn't turn out good for the camera and the lens attached.
To my horror, when I got home after the trip it turned out my insurance agent did a mistake and my insurance was not valid out of the country, so I was left without gear and without coverage.
To make a long story short - it will take me a long time to save all this money for new gear. I am seeking help in the form of an indiegogo compaign where you can donate a very small amount to help me get back to my hobby.
If you can spare a few dollars, please do at https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/my-camera-sunk-in-a-lake-and-i-need-a.... If you can also help circulate this it would be great.
Thanks in advance,
Oren
