Sony A7 Tethering

Hi!

I am interested in shooting tethered with the Sony A7 and I have tried a few different options but not extensively and I might have missed some setting.

What I want to do is to use the display of the camera to review the images while I am shooting, and at the same time send low res jpeg to my windows 10 tablet to look at and show the client.

A bonus feature would be to also send the RAW file to Lightroom in order to make quick adjustments between shoots. I have no problem waiting for the RAW files to transfer, I just want it to happen automatically.

Of course, this should all be over WIFI. Is there a solution for this?

I am currently using DslrDashboard and the remote control app on the camera to wirelessly transfer low res jpegs and they are displayed instantly on the tablet, however RAW files are not transferred but stay on the SD card. I am generally not so interested in seeing live view on the tablet but it works with with DslrDashboard. What I prefer is to be able to review the images on the back of the camera.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Hey man, I'm not sure if there's a good way of tether via wifi but i'm using tethered tools cable and capture one to tether with my a7R. Also works if you're using Lightroom and sony's app for mac/pc "Remote Camera Control"

You can learn a lot from Brian Smith

Hope it might help!
