British sports car that competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the mid to late 1950s. In the 1959 Le Mans an Ace-Bristol came in 1st in Class and finished 7th overall. Impressive! So much so the AC caught the eye of Carol Shelby who worked with the AC's manufacturer to fit it with a V8 engine. Thus creating the Shelby AC Cobra.
