Artist Leslie Dyas at work in her studio for Cincinnati Magazine. Leslie's studio was wonderful with tones of natural light pouring in which I try to always take advantage of. I love mixing strobes to shape and natural light to help with a little fill. With this shot we had one 46” photek softlighter right beside the far right window to mimic the natural light but also to create a stronger hit of light on her helping to separate her from the rest of the space. The second light which I do often as a forward facing fill in smaller rooms is another @profotousa head with a 7 inch dish pointing into the wall and ceiling just throwing light all over the room in a soft natural way. Then after we were happy with the shot of Leslie we made sure to take a plates of the room with a few different exposures so we had the areas were a stand or a little bit of a modifier was in the image.
