Red Cliffs

This place is a pretty popular hiking spot here in Southern Utah. In fact, about 30 minutes before taking this shot, this area was swarmed with about 50 different people. There must have been a family reunion or something.

But, the weather decided to play it my way, and it started pouring rain, which emptied the place out nicely for me! So yes, I'm standing in water, getting pelted with water, but it was a very small price to pay in order to get this unobstructed view. :)

Besides, what you may not know is that these red sandstone cliffs look so amazing when they're saturated with water. The color just jumps out at you, makes for one more reason to go explore in the rain!

Beautiful image, worth every bit of effort that went into it. I like how the water turned out, too. Often I see water exposed so long that it looks like stiffly beaten egg whites rather than the beautiful silky running water in your image.
