Harbour in the Morning | Split, Croatia

„The early bird always catches the worm“ - never was this old saying so true as on this very early morning in the city of Split. Already at 5 am I sat there at the port in front of the gates of Croatia’s second largest city and waited for the sun to rise. When it finally rose over the distant hills and tickled the bell tower of the Cathedral of Saint Domnius with its rays, I was so amazed by the moment that I almost forgot to press the shutter button. Thankfully I remembered and was able to capture how Split is glistering in the light of the golden morning sun.
