Opening up a can of worms

The seed pod from a geranium slowly unfolds while nestled in a dried banksia. The seed must be sprayed lightly with water to start it furling so there is a only a very small window of opportunity to catch it in the act. The dried flower spikes of the banksia reminds me of worms hence the title.

I love these worlds you create, or find and show us, Sandra. The fine white fanning spikes and the curling coloured worms complement each other really well, and you've composed and coloured it beautifully.
