Up in Smoke

This is water soluble suminagashi ink in water. I use this ink because of the very reason these images sometimes get constructive criticism about focus. That is that the ink is dissolving rapidly into the water and therefore has a soft, ephemeral and surreal look. The inks are dropped in at different rates and through an oil barrier which provides some control. Then I flip the final image to be 'mushrooms'. Enjoy!

I ADORE THESE!

I ALSO do paint pouring & considered a while ago, doing photos of them as well, but have veered in a different direction with my photography.

This is sooooo stunningly beautiful hunny.

What a wonderful creative concept! Beautiful!

You obviously have lots of experience making photos like this, but I feel that this one that stands apart. The movement seems to be better captured in this image compared to some of your others.
