Erosion is the main geomorphic force in Iceland that is shaping the surface of the country. It's beautiful beyond belief, yet human settlements and livestock that they brought with them, dramatically accelerated this erosion. Only other soil that blows in the wind as easily as Icelandic one, is soil on the Moon. This is a love, hate relationship between humans and forces of nature.
