We visited this historic place with some expectations of seeing a rusty, dusty old building but the more you're there, the more you learn about the history of America's prison systems and how they've evolved.
Once I returned home, I was looking over the shots and reminded of my first days using a camera in the mid-80s and taking photos of worn down housing projects. It is depressing and rich with spirits and character.
