These little flowers are the floral emblem for the Australian Capital Territory, called the Royal Bluebell (Wahlenbergia gloriosa). This little patch survives right next to our front driveway. From December 2019 to the end of January 2020, they endured drought, searing heat, a hail storm with hail the size of golfballs and gale force winds bringing a dust storm. Yesterday, they survived 60 millimetres of rain. I won't mention the number of times they are driven over due to their proximity to the driveway. The quintessential survivors !!
