We roped up and left the Plateau Hut in Aoraki Mt. Cook National Park in New Zealand at 3 am to trek across the Grand Plateau to get to this fantastic vista overlooking the Tasman Valley. We arrived just before sunrise and were lucky to catch an inversion layer in the valley below.
