Crater Mountain

Taken during a 13 hour, 20 mile out and back hike, while out of food and water and with a storm approaching. No one said landscape photography was easy! I had eyed this mountain on my ascent earlier in the day when the lighting had been poor. The coming storm and approaching sunset gave a much nicer lighting on the hike back and I was able to grab some shots I really liked.

This composition is exposure stacked with 3 images, shot at f14 to get everything nice and sharp at about 20 mm on my tamron ultrawide.
