I basically spent the whole weekend bird watching. It was even more enjoyable as it was with the family. And so I pride myself while browsing the photos and thinking about my kids, that in the past people were probably closer to nature. And I'm not talking about ancient times. I listen to "Chasing cormorants" by Polish singer from the 60s Piotr Szczepanik and it is hard for me to imagine that a song so deeply immersed in nature would be at the top of the charts today.
I didn't have to chase this one, but I sat for a few hours in the rain and got quite wet. It was worth it.
