Not sure photographing males sideways is flattering to them. But not sure what model needs for his portfolio (and how he identifies). It looks more like female pose. Also won't cut out just a tip of the hair (either full or more cropped).

Rafal, it's exactly just an opinion. And yes hair can be cropped on portraits (there is no such rule it couldn't). But if just a tip is cropped my eyes go there automatically to search the missing part. Maybe it's just my OCD :).
Well there is never a perfect image and we always as artists are looking for all the flaws. The second thing which is interesting we have hard time to look for things which we like in image rather than pick on things which we don't like. Again nothing personal and I do value other photographers opinion but at the same time ripping images apart and looking only for the errors its something that force you to be only critical and you cant really enjoy beauty of any image. Just my two cents
