Fortress

On our second day in Torres Del Paine National Park, Bryce and I woke up early in the morning to our first full view of the mountains. To say we were excited would be an understatement. We quickly ate breakfast and made our way to this shoreline. Bryce and I parted ways, and I made my way to these lakefront rocky ribs that posed as a great foreground. It took only a mere couple of minutes to set up my composition, so I took advantage of the remaining duration before sunrise to soak in the views. I was blown away by the sheer size of the Paine Grande Massif. Once the first hint of light hit the peaks, I fired my shots away. My goal was to execute a photograph that showcases the light hitting the very tip of the peaks as it provided a beautiful red/orange colour on the rocks and snow. Although I would have wished for stormy conditions on the lake, I'm pretty pleased with how this single exposure turned out.

Enjoy!
