Fast & Curious: Pharaoh Hound

Pharaoh hounds are well-known as dogs of ancient Egypt, however their true origin is Malta. These gorgeous racers can speed up to 56 km/h! It is traditionally used for rabbit-hunting in the rocky terrain of the islands; the Maltese name Kelb tal-Fenek means "rabbit dog".
One of his most endearing traits of a Pharaoh hound is his ability to blush. You may spot a deep rose color on his nose and ears when he's excited, happy, or enjoying some affection. Many owners will train their Pharaoh Hounds to smile. Since this fun-loving breed enjoys smiling so much, it isn't a hard trick to teach. So this cute racing speedster's smile is the real deal!
