Ruud, what a wonderful black & white image. I got a little confused I thought the skinny little white thing in the lower left was one of the two windmills the “new” one, twenty-first century units for homes. English language and American speed reading it’s a beach ;-0.
Anyhow great tones and textures and contrast between the clouds and trees. The small white rectangle in lower left is way too white possibly the whitest in the whole image if not a very close second to the brightest parts of the clouds. Maybe tone it down a shade or two ?
Actually looking closer the edge of the vertical windmill blade is whiter even bright than clouds which is fine that it’s a big part of your composition and where you want the viewer’s eye to go.
I just noticed and suggest look at a thumbnail view you'll see what I mean. Peace and Love
Keep Photographing !
Just the little rectangle one lower left. Look at a thumbnail of your image. This is a 4 star image not 2 stars. Cheers :-)

There's always the option of a tighter crop. A picture within the picture, as I like to say. Purely subjective, but I suspect you can get a lot closer to your windmill without diminishing the impact of the clouds. In fact, I'd consider having the blades (not sure if that's the correct name but that's what Paul called them) bleed off the left and right sides of the image frame. The viewer at that point gets the full impact from one of theses iconic structures. Gives me more focus on the details of the windmill too. Might even approach abstraction. Of course the next person who comes along will prefer the greater context and mood shaped by the more inclusive sky and landscape. No right or wrong... just an idea for the next opportunity that comes along.

Thanks Paul for your constructive comments! Good idea to tone down the white bits that are not the subject.
