Svínafellsjökull is a glacier tongue (also known as an outlet glacier) located in Vatnajökull National Park in southeastern Iceland. Vatnajökull is the largest glacier in Iceland and one of the largest in Europe. Svínafellsjökull is part of this expansive glacier, which covers about 8% of the country.
