Black Rocks is a great place to visit any time of year, but in the winter, especially at sunrise, it becomes magical.
The city blocks the road off in the winter months, so it requires a fairly easy hike until you get to the rocks themselves... then it's crampons and a few prayers!
But the shots are worth it!
