Anthony Gormley - Another Time

The image was obtained on a trip to Western Austria. On a mountain hike I came, quite by accident, across this statue, a part of 100 sculptures for ANOTHER TIME, a series of figures of himself by Anthony Gornley. Sited individually around the world and appearing in a range of outdoor environments, from cold waterfronts to urban rooftops, each work has a different orientation and is relatively isolated.

Christopher, great image except for the statue looks too AI generated, even after learning it’s a statue still find it is a distraction more of its placement and/or lack of definition, detail, or features.

Gormley's "another time" installations were intended to place each of the 100 figures in diverse sites around the world with the statues representing the relationship of man to his environment and therefore the statue is an integral part of the image.I have a similar image of the site without the site, but in my opinion the statue reflecting Gormley's vision is essential.

I like the statue here although it would look awesome without it, too.
In 2012, we experienced Gormley's Another Time in San Gimignano....we were exploring and walked through a gateway onto a path and turned right....then we turned around to see where it went the other way and we both nearly jumped out of our skins as one of these was right there, positioned just out of peripheral view! Besides the one on the path there was another positioned upon the top corner of one of the famed towers the city is known for.

I have 2 images in my portfolio of the statue atop a building in Oxford - one is part of a composite with the vault of Exeter Cathedral. There are also 2 images orf Gormley’s Another Place on Crosby Beach near Liverpool.
