About 20 years ago I saw a photo online that might as well have been from a different planet. It was surreal and ethereal and triggered my interest in landscape photography after decades of portrait and sport work. I never thought I would actually photograph that location in Hamnøy, Norway on the picturesque Lofoten Islands, but I had the privilege of doing just that last month, despite horrendous weather conditions and countless trains, planes and automobiles to reach said destination. By no means an original composition of a scene covered by many-a-shutterbug - but checks a box for me nonetheless...
