it was definitely deliberate. I did do a few that they were below the horizon line but I actually like the one with them protruding into the sky. The emphasis on this photo is those sticks they are called the wishing sticks and there is a story behind it.
This would have been my pick, but the sticks crossing the horizon bother me.
