I am a wildlife photographer enthusiast who loves to travel to places that are nature oriented. Photography is what I do on many of my days off. Although I have been participating in wildlife & nature photography since 2009, it has only really been since 2011 that I have made the decision to get out more ~ "F8 and Be There!"

Although many of my pictures are of birds, I don't consider myself a bird photographer. It just happens that there are more birds in my close geographical range than there are other animals. Birds of prey and owls are my focus in and around Barrie, Ontario where I reside.

What I have achieved so far is the result of some great photography workshops, part-time community college classes and Barrie Photo Club. Surrounding yourself with awesome people with excellent skills is a great place to start. Thanks to those who share their skill!

I also have to thank my wife Angie who "allows" it all to happen. The reluctant permission to buy more gear, her normally "patient" presence while I stop to get the "perfect" shot every 20 feet, and the release of the purse strings when I want to head away for an overnight or fly to a location for the sake of some wildlife & nature pics.
