Impossible Shots of an Active Volcano Captured by Drones for National Geographic

No stranger to putting cameras in dangerous places, filmmaker and explorer Sam Cossman recently published a video that reveals a heart-pounding perspective into a firey abyss– the active volcano of Vanuatu. Not all gear survived the conditions, but the footage proves that it was worth it.

If some of the images or the area looks similar, footage from this area made international headlines when George Kourounis entered the volcano and posted images on his twitter account. He and Sam are now working together, and this is the second video released from their collaboration.
