How to Create Professional Product Photos With Just One Softbox

Product photography can be a very tricky genre with lots of specific techniques and hidden tricks, but you might be surprised by how much you can accomplish with just a single common modifier. This excellent video will show you how to create a professional product image using nothing but a single softbox.

Coming to you from botvidsson, this excellent video will show you how to create a professional product shot of a pair of KRK powered studio monitors. Of course, the beauty of this is that a softbox is a relatively cheap modifier, and in a studio environment, you can create a very inexpensive setup using just a speedlight. I have always had tremendous respect for product photographers, because it takes such patience and precise control of light, which often takes a good dose of ingenuity to accomplish. Even if you are not into product photography, it can be a great exercise in controlling your lighting that can have benefits in whatever genre you do shoot. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
