Who It’s For:
This is a smaller lighter 400mm lens from Canon that has a hand holdable design, much unlike it’s massive brother the 400mm f/2.8 IS II. It’s a more affordable 400mm lens than the 2.8, in fact, it’s half the price, but it’s still a staggering $6000 so you can prepare to pull our your wallet’s. It’s a beautiful sports and wildlife lens.
What We Like:
Autofocus: The autofocus on this lens is very fast and super accurate
IS: IS will definitely help to keep your images steady.
Size: This is a much smaller lens than it’s big brother so handholding will be much easier.
What We Don’t:
Contrast: The lens suffers from a lack of contrast in some situations, but it’s nothing that can’t be fixed in post.
Bokeh: Light points in the bokeh are not as smooth as they could be.
