Getty's Olympic Camera Gear Is Every Photographer's Dream

Getty's Olympic Camera Gear Is Every Photographer's Dream

I know, I know. It's about the photographer, not the gear. But if you can look at all the gear Getty is sending photographers to the Olympics with and not salivate, well, you're stronger than me.

Working for Getty has its perks, not the least of which include access to the latest and greatest camera gear. Michael Heiman, Managing Editor at Getty's New York Office, recently posted a few pictures of the company's collection of gear for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

As for camera bodies, I see the Canon 1D X, the 1D X Mark II, and the 5DS R. The lenses are much more fun to try to identify, particularly since Getty has included every focal length Canon offers (besides fisheye lenses). So far, I've been able to pick out the following:

Feel free to jump in with whatever you spot. I'll just be over here picking my jaw up off the floor.

I just one column of that array of lenses. Don't want to look greedy...

Shot events for 10 years with Canon 1-series, and I've got a bad shoulder to show for it. Very happy to use MFT now. So, no, I don't drool when I see the size of that kit. I cringe.

what's MFT?

Micro four-thirds.

I don't drool either :), I'm more into Foveon camera's these days.

With the situation in Brazil being what it is, should they be advertising this? Better not wear that Getti Images badge if you have one.

Not every photographer's dream, maybe a Canon photographer's dream.

A Nikon photographers' nightmare ;-)

Now now, don't be jealous. ;)
