9 Helpful Tips for New Landscape Photographers

Landscape photography is one of the most popular genres out there, and there are numerous ways to approach it and to find and express your creative voice. Nonetheless, there are some fundamental techniques and approaches that every beginner should be aware of. This excellent video tutorial will show you nine helpful tips that are sure to put you on the right track with your work. 

Coming to you from Photo Tom, this awesome video tutorial will give you nine great bits of advice for new landscape photographers. If I could give a beginner landscape photographer any bit of advice, it would be to not get locked into using only wide angle lenses. They are certainly useful for the genre, but on the other hand, they can challenging from a compositional perspective. Using something like a 70-200mm lens can allow you to simplify a complicated scene and get more images from a single location, and you do not need an expensive and heavy f/2.8 version; an f/4 variant will do perfectly well.
