How to Use This Powerful New Lightroom Feature

Lightroom has undergone some major transformation in recent years and has grown into a far more powerful editing platform, making it quite convenient for anyone who also uses the program to catalog their images and who doesn't want to round-trip between other applications. One of its newest features is Point Color, which revamps how the program approaches editing colors by offering far more control. This fantastic video tutorial will show you what Point Color is and how to use it in your own images.

Coming to you from Anthony Morganti, this excellent video tutorial will show you everything you need to know about the new Point Color tool in Lightroom. The idea of the Point Color tool is to enable more precise color edits with ease. In the past, it could be tricky to select the exact color you wanted to edit and subsequently adjust the hue, saturation, and luminance, but Point Color aims to remedy that by allowing to first select it, then widen the selection to an appropriately sized band of nearby colors, after which you can make the normal adjustments. And the best part is that you can combine it with the program's masking panel for even more precise work. Check out the video above for the full rundown from Morganti.
