OnOne Offers Perfect Effects 8 for Free Until Jan. 28th ($99 Value)

OnOne Software is certainly not a new name to the retouching world. Building software since 2005, OnOne has brought us a long line of Photoshop plugins and Lightroom presets. Continuing their goal to make retouching a far less painstaking process, onOne Software has decided to give away their flagship Perfect Effects 8 software for free, but only for the next few days. But what exactly is onOne Perfect Effects 8?

Perfect Effects 8 works much like Totally Rad’s RadLab or Alien Skin Exposure software (Which I absolutely love). Using built in previews and selective masking, Perfect Effects 8 allows you to add presets to your photos selectively, and make adjustments using masks and on-click technology.

Perhaps the most beneficial aspect of Perfect Effects 8 is that it works seamlessly with all of your retouching software. Adobe Photoshop, Elements, Lightroom and even Apple Aperture are on the compatibility list, and if you can’t find your preferred application, you’re still able to use the software as a standalone.

As for how great it truly is, I’m not sure yet. I’ve honestly never used the software. But for the nice price of free, what do you have to lose?

how do we get it? there is no direct link to the special and crusing over the website shows that you have to buy it for 99.95. Was there a coupon code or a special URL for the deal?

That's great, how did you find that? Trying to decide if i really suck that badly at reading their website.

I Googled it and found it in another article. No worries.

The link is at the bottom of the article, in bold.

Yup..... i suck at reading.

Nice find! Downloading now.

Need a 64bit OS or crappy win8 that blows! Selling my copy for $50bucks.

You're going to sell your copy of the software in the comments of an article that's offering it for free?

Good luck

Who knows? He may find a "low information voter" who will see at as real deal..LOL.

Or you could download it and install it when you finally update your OS. Just a thought.

You are still using a 32bit OS?

You are not on a 64 bit system? Are you also viewing Fstoppers.com with a 56k dial up?

I've read of conflicts with Photoshop cs6. Can it be installed as a stand alone ?

We never had any conflicts with CS6 and have had no problems so far with CC under Mavericks. It can be used as a standalone for those that don't have Photoshop, Lightroom or Aperture. It can be a real time-saver and is easy to learn and use.

Thank you for the information!

Read the article. Yes it can be used standalone.

I've been using the entire suit wth CS6 and have no problems,. at all.

ill give it a try. just wish i could use cool tools like this more often but for editing weddings its just to time consuming...

For someone that used to work in publishing, it's often impossible for me to segregate the "advertorials" from editorials here. FREE presets? I love fstoppers, I just don't know whether I'm reading a photography tabloid, or a reputable, trustworthy editorial publication. I suppose the lines got blurred when gear reviews, workshops, "editorials", educational DVDs, and speedlight accessories all got sold under one umbrella. Perhaps it's time for some editorial oversight, and sectioning your website into distinct categories? Just my 2 denarii.

I'm not paid by OnOne in anyway whatsoever. I even express that I havent used the software myself. I'm just trying to expose useful information to those who might need it. Yet I'm jeopardizing editorial integrity? I feel you lose commentator integrity when you complain about something then follow it up with a link to your website...

Cool I'll give it a go - mant thx and all the best!

Amazing deal, I love OnOne. Thanks for letting us know about this.

I just downloaded it for free! Big thanks to Fstoppers for posting the link!

Thanks a lot OnOne for the Perfect Effects 8 offer ! Will it function ok with my Mac 10.7.5 os ?

Just starting to test it out and seems to work smoothly with Lightroom. Thanks for the heads up!

So is this Premium 8 not the full Suite ?

Can't wait to try it out

Is the offer over already? Its not loading up for me.

This is a nice offer but don't confuse it with the full Suite version shown in the Premium 8 tutorials and ads.

I can't seem to get it to open in Windows 8. Just locks the computer up. Tried 4 times.
