The cello

Every now and then I organize workshops to help aspiring photographers develop their aesthetic creativity. Lea had a friend who played the cello, so we decided to use that as a creative prop. The lighting is very simple, just an overhead Elinchrom flash in a 24 X 24 softbox. The trick was to place Lea so that the shadows sculpted her waist and hips in an hourglass shape remisniscent of the cello.

this may be a little ocd of me but i believe i would have used the liquify tool on her butt to create the "perfect" heart shape, as close to perfect as she already is it wouldn't have taken more than a few seconds. beautiful image.

She has dirty feet.
