California Roots: The Carolina Sessions

As I've grown as a photographer, I've tried to make it a point to do something that doesn't come natural to me... slow down and look around at the big picture. I'm here to tell a story, so this story has to do with the crowded VIP bleachers at California Roots: The Carolina Sessions in Myrtle Beach, SC. These people packed themselves into the bleachers like a sardine can and waited all day so they wouldn't lose their spot to see SOJA and 311 close out a great day of music. My vision didn't require the detail in the people, so I chose to shoot it as a silhouette for a little bit of mystery.
