Steamboat Docks on Lake Monroe

I shot these in the rain just after sunset last night. This is what remains of several steamboat docks along the shore of Lake Monroe in Sanford, Florida. During the mid to late 1800s the city was a major distribution center along the St. Johns River. Steamboats frequently carried army soldiers to and from Fort Mellon, which was used to defend the area during the Seminole Indian Wars.
