Havana, Cuba.
I strolled the streets of Havana at dusk. I saw these guys working out in the open on a few bits of equipment and watched as they shaped their bodies into muscular contortions. I nervously went closer. I didn't know how they'd react to my being there. Thankfully, I think they secretly enjoyed the attention.
The guy at the front right of the image- his posture, the look in his eyes, the intensity- reminds of Michelangelo's sculpture Christ Carrying the Cross.
