Parking Deck Portraiture Rules!

I used to only shoot with long focal distances for portraits because I felt it was more flattering for the model... but now shooting more with wider angle lenses I find is a great way to differentiate my portraits more. The Sony 14mm Gmaster is probably one of my favorite lenses to shoot when out in the city, as it makes buildings seem so much more epic, and here the purse and the model's pose really makes for a dramatic shot!

I typically shoot these portraits with a small aperture (F/11) so that I don't miss all the detail from head to toe. With the sky so bright I definitely needed a strobe to ensure the model was well lit.
