Ubehebe Crater panorama (Colors of the Year 2021 series)

4 or 5 vertical exposure stitched into this panorama. Late afternoon but still a couple of hours shy of evening, later winter early spring. Had I waited any later for traditional “Golden Hour” shadows would have began encroaching on the crater floor. In my humble opinion golden hour differs widely from summer and winter months based on the arc of the sun, Winter the sun doesn’t get as high in the sky as a summer sun. Also it depend what your latitude is.
