Working with professional models can be a fantastic way to really experiment with creative ideas and expand your portfolio. However, working with models is far different than working with normal clients. If you have not worked with them before, check out this helpful video tutorial that introduces you to many of the logistics that come with working with models as well as some of the most common working practices.

Coming to you from Mango Street, this awesome video tutorial will introduce you to some of the most important concepts of working with models, including TFP (time for print), new faces, 1+1 booking, how to use releases, and more. One of the most important things to remember about working with models is that they are professionals being paid for their time, so make sure you are prepared and ready to go, as it is a waste of time, money, and effort if you are fiddling with lights and settings or trying to figure out what you want to do in the middle of the shoot. You will also come across much more professionally if you can direct the shoot with confidence. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
