A Review of the Tamron 17-50mm f/4 Di III VXD Lens

Tamron has become one of the industry's most respected lens manufacturers in recent years, creating lenses that push the boundaries of design and others that offer very practical capabilities at competitive prices. One of the latter type is the new 17-50mm f/4 Di III VXD, which offers a nice range of focal lengths sure to please landscape photographers. This great video review takes a look at the sort of performance and image quality you can expect from it in usage.

Coming to you from Stefan Malloch, this excellent video review takes a look at the new Tamron 17-50mm f/4 Di III VXD lens. While the f/4 maximum aperture does not make this the most exciting lens on paper, the tradeoff is a rather portable device and an affordable price ($699), making it attractive for anyone who does not need a lot of light-gathering power but who values portability, such as landscape photographers. And when you consider the high-ISO capabilities of modern cameras, that f/4 aperture really is not as much of a limitation as it might have been a decade ago. Altogether, the 17-50mm f/4 looks like quite a pragmatic and useful option. Check out the video above for Malloch's full thoughts on the lens.
