Such a great contest, just uploaded my shot. Hope you all like it! http://www.viewbug.com/contests/photographers-at-work-photo-contest/3103913
nice image, but totally pointless for that contest. the contest is to show photographers doing what they do. what you could have done would be to do some cool selfportrait or something. it's all about showing photographers at work and not showing your photographic work.
Your face is pointless.
But seriously, I am not trying to showcase my work in any way here. If you would read further into the description of the photo on the contest page it was shot the same thing most photographers do to show tribute to another talented artist by mimicking or trying to duplicate the same style. I simply wanted to shoot his "portrait" in this way to show his city along with his style, "puddlegram", all in one shot. If you go to his page as I highlighted here and on the description page you can see I was just trying to highlight his style at the same time. I actually copied his photo exactly, with his permission of course, and thought it was a fun way to put a fun twist on the shot. I don't see it as pointless as you described but to each their own and your opinion is welcome. Thanks
Yeah, you can see the photographer at the right side of that picture in a red sweater or shirt, if you weren't so quick to judge you may have seen it before posting here and making a fool of yourself :/
Thanks Osvaldo, glad people are taking just a few seconds to notice the shooter on the right hand side of the photo. It may take time to get the photo but thats just part of it all as a whole.
Peter Hurley's 'Art Behind the Headshot' is brilliant.
It is a must watch for anyone that do headshots.
does it have to specifically be a photographer? how about a videographer?
That is a long time to wait but excited to see all the entries so far. Anyone know how you can track the voting on these?
