The positive and relaxing feel from this photograph is excellent. I would like to immediately sit there and enjoy the beautiful day as well. The depth of field work is amazing. Honestly when I saw the image, I said like 5 times WOW. This is the kind of mood I appreciate in photographs. For me it is not about numbers or stars it is about the feelings. Great work Edward!
Thank you very much for the kind comment :). This was one of the rare times that I found the courage to ask someone if I could take their photograph. It was one of my earlier bokeh panoramas so I made sure to get the man all in one frame. I told him not to stop painting and I wanted to be able to easily paste a still shot back over the final stitch. If I was to shoot this now I would probably have moved closer to get an even shallower DoF and risked a more tricky retouch. The original stitch was much wider than this, but I ended cropping the image down to show roughly the scene that the man was painting. This technique is much easier to shoot now that I have switched to mirrorless
